Board Members

Chairperson - Dan Dlamini
Dan Dlamini is the Managing Director of Dan & Don Construction. He previously served as the Chairman of Swaziland Contractors Association. His vast experience in construction includes being the Representative of Swazis in the Maguga Project plus being Site Supervisor for EPD Consultant, Alexander Gibb and Jefferson Green. Mr Dlamini is a qualified Construction Technician from the Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT).
Vice-Chairperson - Nhlanhla Maphanga
Nhlanhla Maphanga is the Manging Director of Maphanga Mitchell Associates. He holds a B.Sc. Degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University, USA. He is enrolled at the University of Pretoria for a M.Sc. in Project Management. He has over 20 years of working experience in the Construction Industry and served on various councils and boards, namely: SPPRA IRC (Member), Sectional Titles Board (Member) and previously CIC Research, Development & Training Committee, CIC Interim Committee (Secretary) and SAAES (Treasurer & Chairperson).
Member - Mkhululi Mamba
Mkhululi Raymond Mamba is the Chief Buildings Engineer, Ministry of Publics Works and Transport. He has been the Chairman of the SACU headquarters Task Team (a team established by the Council of ministers to oversee the construction of the headquarters building), Member of the Building Appeal Tribunal and a Member of the Industrial and Vocational Training Board. He has Msc. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, Bsc. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and BSc. (Physics/Maths) + CDE from University of Swaziland.
Member - Dumsile Shongwe
Dumsile Dorah Shongwe is the Secretary General of Swaziland Contractors Association. She finished her high school education in 1981 and preceded to the University of Swaziland to pursue a degree in BA Humanities and concurrent Diploma in Education. She has been a high school teacher for 13 years, from 1986 to 2000, when she decided to join her husband in the construction business, who had been in the business since 1983. Before then, she did AAT Level I and II , in order to be comfortable in the business environment. While doing construction business, she did short courses such as Business Management and Project Management. She has been in the construction business for over 15 years.
Member - Eric Kunene
Mr Eric Kunene is the Township Engineer at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. He has been with the Ministry for over 20 years and began working as a Township Assistant. He previously served as the Interim Councillor for Mankayane Town Board in 2009 and currently a Board member for Road Safety Council of Eswatini and the CIC. Mr Kunene is a qualified Construction Technician from the Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT).
Member - Lawrence Samuels
Member - Derrick Shiba
Derrick Shiba is a Civil Engineer by Profession with 10 years' experience and in 2017 he was appointed as the Managing Director at Inyatsi Construction Swaziland. He has previously worked at: Amandla Burrow Consulting Engineer - Clerks of works, ZMCK Consulting Engineer - Inspector of works, BCEOM/OOP Consulting Engineer - Learner Engineer and WBHO Construction - Learner Engineer. He holds a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Cape Town and Diploma in Civil Engineering from Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT).
Member - Sanele Khuluse
Sanele Khuluse is an Admitted Attorney of The High Court of Swaziland. He has a B.A.(LAW) UNISWA and LLB from University of Cape Town. He is currently the Legal Advisor at Ministry of Public and Transport. He previously worked at the Attorney General's Chambers since 2002 from being Pupil Crown Counsel to being the Principal Crown Counsel.
Member - Marianna Pullen
Marianna Pullen is currently the Chairperson for the Building Materials and suppliers Association. She has been employed with AfriSam Cement Eswatini for 26 years where she started as a PA to the Plant Manager, Her knowledge was further developed by running the Logistics, Procurement, and Stock Control She moved into Sales where her development and skills where enhanced by completing a number of Courses and Workshops She is currently the Territory Manager. She has achieved a Diploma in Book Keeping , a Diploma in Practical Accounting, certification in Concrete Practise, SCT 30 Concrete Technology, Making Concrete Bricks and Block, Supervisory Development Programme, Collaborative Conflict Resolution, Competitive intelligence Training , 7 Habits for Managers , Business Writing Skills , Technical Training for Sales Consultants , Environmental Awareness , Managing and Developing Key Accounts ,and Creative Negotiation Skills.
Chief Executive Officer - Nhlanhla Dlamini
Mr. Nhlanhla Dlamini is the first and current CEO of Construction Industry Council (CIC), a regulator of the Construction Industry. He has held this position since March 2015. Mr. Dlamini has over 12 years' experience in Executive Management having served different bodies in the Corporate Sector including the Urban Government Sector. He is currently serving the Industrial and Vocational Training Board as the Vice Chairperson. Prior to joining CIC he was the CEO of Pigg's Peak Municipality for 8 years. He also served as an Assistant Clerk at Table in the Eswatini Houses of Parliament. Mr Dlamini holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences Majoring in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Planning and Public Administration from the University of Eswatini. In 2017 he was certified as Key Professional Indicator Professional from The George Washington University College. He is a 2019 Executive MBA Candidate at the University of Cape Town - Graduate School of Business. He has also attended a number of management development programmes including the Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) from the University of Stellenbosch.
Legal And Company Secretary - Qinisile P Maseko
Qinisile is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of Eswatini and practiced as such from 2011 until 2015 when she joined the Construction Industry Council as Compliance Officer. She served as a Compliance Officer then Compliance Analyst for three years after which she then moved to the newly established position of Legal and Company Secretary. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, LLB Degree (University of Swaziland,2010), a Post Grad Certificate in Compliance Management (University of Johannesburg, 2014) and currently pursuing her Chartered Secretaries Program qualification (CSSA).
